Maggie's Mission became a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue in 2014. Since then, we have rescued and placed over 1,000 dogs, dozens of horses, and countless cats into loving new homes. We are a 100% volunteer organization, with nearly 90 volunteers who handle everything from fostering the animals, to approving applications and doing home visits, walking dogs, planning fundraisers, and advertising the animals to find them new homes.
All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. One of our passions is helping senior animals, so many of our rescued pets require more extensive medical care as well, such as dental cleanings, mass removals, cherry eye correction, etc.
Maggie's Mission does not have a public shelter, as our pets are in personal foster homes where we can learn more about their personalities and needs.
If you're interested in adopting an animal, please submit an adoption application on our website indicating the pet you're interested in. Our adoption coordinator will then contact you to see if the animals is the right fit for you! Our goal is to ensure a good match between dog and owner, so it is important to us to screen applicants well so that our return rate stays low and our dogs are not moved over and over again. We are dedicated to our rescue animals for the rest of their lives.
We hope we can help you find your next companion, and if you don’t find what you’re looking for with our rescue, we encourage you to consider other local rescues to save a life who truly needs you!
